Members of the Election Commission (EC) headed by Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda have reached Bangabhaban to meet President Abdul Hamid to inform him of overall preparations for the 11th national election.
The delegation entered Bangabhaban around 3:35pm on Thursday, reports Bangla Tribune.
Other delegation members include four commissioners -- Mahbub Talukdar, Rafiqul Islam, Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury, and Kabita Khanam and EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed.
On Wednesday, EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed said: “It’s a courtesy call.”
“We’ll apprise the honourable president of overall preparations for the 11th general election,” he added.
