Voting will be held again at the three centres of Khulna City Corporation on May 30, where balloting was suspended during last week’s election due to irregularities.
The centres are – Iqbal Nagar Girls High School (academic building 2) in general ward 24 (reserved ward 9). The second one is at Lobon Chora Government Primary School under general ward 31 (reserved ward 10). The third one is the 31 ward councillor’s office centre.
Returning Officer Yunus Ali said the results of the councillor election of general ward 31, and reserved wards 9 and 10, could not be announced due to the suspended voting.
The new date has been fixed following the directives of the Election Commission, he added.
