Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has announced that the lottery system for school admissions has been completely abolished.
He made the announcement on Monday during a briefing held at the Education Ministry’s conference room at the Secretariat.
Responding to a question about whether coaching businesses might increase if admission tests are reintroduced, the minister said the government would take strict measures to control the situation.
“We will rein it in,” he said.
