Coaching centres nationwide to remain closed from Thursday

This directive will be enforced throughout the entire duration of the 2025 SSC examinations

The 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations will begin on Thursday, with all coaching centres across the country remaining closed from the start of the exams until May 13.

This directive has been issued by the Ministry of Education based on the decisions made during the meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee for the upcoming SSC and equivalent examinations 2025, held at the Ministry of Education’s conference room.

On March 16, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Education Siddique Zobair, said that necessary steps must be taken to prevent rumors of question paper leaks.

He said: "Photocopy machines near examination centres must be shut down during the exam days. All coaching centres in the country will remain closed from the beginning to the end of the examinations. The respective boards must stay alert and take immediate action if any disruptions occur in flood-prone areas during the exams."

The 2025 SSC examinations will run from April 10 to May 13.

The practical exams will be held from May 15 to May 22.

Under the 9 general education boards, the total number of candidates for the 2025 SSC exams stands at 1,490,142, with 701,538 male students and 788,604 female students.

There will be 2,291 exam centres and 18,084 participating institutions.

Under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, the total number of candidates is 294,726—of which 150,893 are male and 143,833 are female.

There will be 725 exam centers and 9,063 institutions.

Under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, the total number of candidates is 143,313, with 108,385 male and 34,928 female students.
