International student conference held by Stamford University Bangladesh

Around 300 students participated from local and international universities

The Department of English at Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) organised a two-day online international conference titled “International Student Conference on English Studies” on February 22 and 23, 2025. The theme of the conference was “Integrating Interdisciplinarity into English Studies.” 

Around 300 students from both foreign and local universities participated in the conference.

Research-based interdisciplinary demonstrations were presented in thirteen sessions followed by discussion. 

According to the release, these sessions broadened the participants’ perspectives and fostered meaningful academic collaboration.

The keynote speaker, Prof Dr Tania Hossain, assistant dean of the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, many scholars from the field of English Studies contributed as session chairs and moderators.
