The Dinajpur Education Board has achieved a pass rate of 77.56% in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, with 14,295 students achieving GPA-5.
This information was disclosed in a report signed by Examination Controller Mir Sajjad Ali on Tuesday.
According to the statistics, a total of 113,799 candidates from 665 colleges participated in the exams in 2024, of which 86,954 students successfully passed.
Notably, 20 educational institutions reported a 0% pass rate, while 15 institutions achieved a 100% pass rate.
Among the students who received GPA-5, 6,185 were boys and 8,110 were girls. The pass rates for different streams are as follows: 90.78% in Science, 73.35% in Humanities, and 64.45% in Business Studies.
The education board's statistics indicate an overall improvement in results compared to last year, although the number of institutions with 100% failures has increased.
In 2023, the board's pass rate was 74.48%, while this year it has risen to 77.56%. The number of students achieving GPA-5 has also significantly increased from 6,459 in 2023 to 14,295 in 2024.
This year, 15 institutions reported a 100% pass rate, an increase from 13 in 2024, while the number of institutions with a 0% pass rate has risen from 16 in 2023 to 20 this year.
