The Russian House in Dhaka held a formal ceremony on Wednesday to present passports with visas to Bangladeshi students who have been admitted to Russian universities under the educational quota provided by the Government of the Russian Federation.
During the ceremony, P Dvoychenkov, director of the Russian House in Dhaka, wished the students success in their educational pursuits in Russia.
He expressed hope that after completing their studies, the students would return to Bangladesh as skilled professionals, contributing significantly to the development of their country.
Russia is globally recognized as a leader in training experts in various fields, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, engineering, programming, and medicine.
The country’s higher education system boasts over 750 universities, offering more than 650 specialities across various educational levels.
In his remarks, Dvoychenkov highlighted Russia's unique cultural and ethnic diversity, which blends elements of both Asia and Europe.
He assured the students that they would find a welcoming environment in Russia, making it easier for them to adapt to student life and feel at home.
The students who received visas expressed their gratitude in heartfelt speeches, thanking the Director of the Russian House for the opportunity.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to returning to Bangladesh after their studies to contribute to the nation’s growth.
The event concluded with a screening of the film "Freedom of Conscience and Religion," which explores the diversity of religious beliefs and the importance of peaceful coexistence.
Several other films were also shown, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the gathering.
