Jahangirnagar University pro-vice chancellor (Administration) Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq and treasurer Prof Dr Rasheda Akhtar have resigned from their respective posts.
They submitted their resignation letter to President Mohammed Shahabuddin via email on Monday.
Acting registrar ABM Azizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
In the resignation letter, Prof Monzurul mentioned that since joining the said post, he had fulfilled the duties with dedication and professionalism. He resigned from the post due to the situation arising in the country.
On Sunday, students of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement removed the nameplates from their offices and kept them under lock and key, demanding their resignation.
Earlier, VC Prof Md Nurul Alam, proctor Prof Alamgir Kabir, president of the provosts' committee Prof Sayadur Rahman, and registrar Abu Hasan resigned from their respective posts.
