Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) Vice Chancellor Prof Mihir Ranjan Halder and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Sobhan Miah have resigned from their post.
They submitted their resignations to President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday.
The university’s Public Relations and Publication department’s Assistant Director, Monoj Kumar Majumder, confirmed the matter.
He said: “They resigned citing personal reasons.”
Earlier in the day, Kuet banned politics for students, teachers, and staff.
On Sunday, teachers held a procession and protest rally on the campus demanding the resignation of Kuet’s VC Prof Mihir Ranjan Halder and Pro-VC Prof Sobhan Miah.
Meanwhile, Khulna University (KU) Student Affairs Director Prof Sharif Hasan Limon and seven student affairs assistants resigned on Sunday.
Kuet Acting Registrar Prof Khan Golam Kuddus said: "They submitted their resignation to him citing personal reasons. "
Steps will be taken to fill these posts soon.
Khulna Collegiate Girls' School and KCC Women's College Principal Prof Md Touhiduzzaman resigned on Sunday, citing physical illness.
He handed over the responsibility to Assistant Prof Rozina Akhter.
