The residential halls of Jahangirnagar University have been opened on Wednesday after being closed for a long time.
The regular education program of the university will continue from Sunday.
This decision was taken at an emergency syndicate meeting of the university at 10:30am on Wednesday.
A notice signed by the university's Registrar Md Abu Hasan said: "All the residential halls of the university will be opened from 11am on Wednesday. Showing ID card will be required for entry."
The notification further informs that valid students of regular programs can enter on the presentation of identification cards. Ex-students and outsiders cannot stay in the hall under any circumstances. The administration will take appropriate action in this regard.
It has been decided to start all types of educational programs of the university (except weekend and evening programs) as usual from August 11, 2024. The teachers of the university have been requested to take initiative in order to start the education program as usual.
The notice also requested the teachers, students, officers and employees to maintain peace and order on the university campus.
