The government has decided that the students of first grade to third grades will not have to appear in the first and second terminal examinations 2024, said Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmad.
The performance of the students in the classes will be evaluated continuously through apps, he told reporters while addressing a press conference at the secretariat in the capital on Thursday.
He said an app has been developed to evaluate the students. The government is trying to free the students from extra loads, he said, adding that students will also be evaluated on their overall performances at school.
It is mentionable that the implementation of a new curriculum at the primary and secondary levels began in 2023. The system will be implemented for twelfth grade in 2027.
