The newly appointed education minister, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, has said he wants to build good governance and an accountable education sector.
For this purpose, he sought cooperation from everyone during an exchange of views with officials and employees of the Ministry of Education on Sunday.
“I am especially grateful to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving me the responsibility of the education ministry in the new government,” said the minister.
“And I also express my gratitude to former education minister Dr Dipu Moni, who has run the education ministry very successfully.”
He also sought the cooperation of cabinet members, parliament members, teachers, parents, journalists and people from all walks of life.
Addressing ministry officials, he said: “We will all work together to create a smart generation to build a developed, prosperous and Smart Bangladesh by 2041 by maintaining the continuity of all education-related activities undertaken by the prime minister since 2009.”
“One of the goals of the current government's election manifesto is to ensure employment for future generations. To this end, we seek the cooperation of all to build a good governance and accountable education sector with all and to continue the work of transformation of education,” added Mohibul Hasan.
