United International University (UIU) organized the orientation program for the newly admitted students of the Spring 2023 semester on Friday.
The program took place at the UIU playground at around 3pm, said a press release issued on Saturday.
Students from the School of Science and Engineering (SoSE), School of Business and Economics (SoBE) and School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS) took part in the orientation program.
Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia was present as the chief guest in the program.
The presentation on UIU was delivered by Prof Dr AKM Muzahidul Islam, Department of CSE and director of the Center for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC).
The chief guest encouraged the newly admitted students to attend classes regularly and prioritize their academic studies, emphasizing the importance of acquiring various skills.
The Registrar of UIU, Dr Zulfiqur Rahman, discussed the academic rules of the university.
Besides, two alumni of UIU and two newly admitted students also spoke at the program.
The treasurers, deans of different faculties, heads of departments, directors, faculty members, officials, students and guardians among others were present in the program.
