Prof ABM Rashedul Hassan has been appointed vice chancellor (VC) of Exim Bank Agricultural University, Bangladesh,.
President Md Abdul Hamid, also chancellor of the university, made the appointment on Thursday, said a press release.
Prior to his appointment as the vice chancellor, Prof Hassan served as the treasurer at North South University.
He served as treasurer at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology before joining at North South University. He also served as vice chancellor (Designate) at the Exim Bank Agricultural University, Bangladesh.
Prof Hassan earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Lincoln University, Malaysia. He achieved his bachelor and masters degrees in Management from the University of Dhaka.
He has a wide range of experience in the fields of education, financial management and governmental administration.
He is a fellow of the Indian Academic Research’s Association (IARA) and is the president of Bangladesh Wings, IARA.
Prof Hassan is the son of Prof Abul Basher, founding principal of Azam Khan Commerce College, Khulna and Prof Rokeya Begum of Pioneer Girl’s college, Khulna.
