Revised primary scholarship results published

As many as 82,383 students will get the scholarships

The revised results of the Primary Scholarship Examinations have been published a day after suspending lists of successful candidates due to technical glitch.

The Directorate of Primary Education said in a notice with the revised results on Wednesday night that the results needed a revision due to the technical errors.  

The directorate also apologised for the unintended errors as the primary and mass education ministry faced widespread criticism over negligence.

The ministry and the directorate have formed committees to investigate the errors.

As many as 82,383 students will get the scholarships, including 33,000 in the talent pool.

State Minister of Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen announced highlights from the results on Tuesday.

The results are available on the websites of the Directorate of Primary Education () and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (), and through the offices of the divisional deputy directors, the offices of the district's primary education officer, and the offices of the upazila and thana education officers.

The amount of the stipend has also been increased since 2015.

Students were tested on Bangla, English, Mathematics and Science on a scale of 100 marks, with 25 marks allotted for each subject during the two-hour scholarship exam.

A total of 483,759 examinees appeared in scholarship examinations.

Primary terminal examinations were not held in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 pandemic. Primary scholarship examamination-2022 was held on December 30 last year.
