Class schedules in secondary and higher secondary level have been changed in a bid to ensure students do not face learning deficit following the implemention of the two-day closure of education institutions.
The decision was announced through a notice of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) Wednesday.
As per the new announcement, seven classes will be conducted daily in secondary level.
According to the revised schedule, 35 class activities will be conducted in classes six to ten seven days a week.
The duration of class activities will be six hours and 10 minutes in one-shift institutions and five hours and five minutes in two-shift institutions.
Apart from this, the classes in two-shift institutions will start at 7am and will end at 5:25pm with a break.
Separate instructions have been given for class XI and XII also.
On the other hand, in class XI and XII, the duration of each period will be 50 minutes. There will be five periods per week for Bangla, English and group-based [science, humanities, commerce] three elective subjects and three periods for Information Communication Technology classes.
DSHE made the decision to compensate for the extra one-day closure that was announced on August 22 for education institutions.
