The University Grant Commission (UGC) has suggested streamlining the curriculum of the country's higher education to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and continue the pace of the country's economic growth.

The suggestion came from a daylong workshop titled 'Implementation of Outcome-based Education', organized by UGC's Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance (SPQA) department Wednesday, said a press release.

"Skilled and qualified human resources are needed to sustain the trend of country's economic growth. If the curriculum can be formulated as per the necessity, quality changes will come to the education sector," said UGC Member Abu Taher addressing the workshop.
