The youths, especially students and job seekers, must continue to develop their skills despite the challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Speakers made the observation during a webinar – jointly organized by Dhaka Tribune and University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) EMBA Program – titled “Career Development Despite Covid-19,” on August 5.
The virtual discussion was moderated by Associate Prof Sajid Amit, director of ULAB’s EMBA Program.
Anita Ghazi Rahman, founder and managing partner of The Legal Circle, Shariful Islam, founder and managing director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, and Sayma Rahman, former Head of Retail Partnerships of Grameenphone among others shared their valuable thoughts and insights during the webinar.
The speakers talked about how one can better manage their careers amid Covid, how to network online, apply for different jobs, and the best ways to take advantage of online resources, training to develop skills.
They also shed light on how a person could find the motivation and purpose necessary to drive their careers forward.
The webinar was a part of regular skill development workshops for students and youths organized by the EMBA Program of ULAB.
