A total of 1,35,898 students got the highest grade point average (GPA 5) in the SSC and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards across the country this year. Last year the number was 1,05,594.
Among the GPA 5 holders this year, 65,754 are male while 70,144 are female students, according to the results published on Sunday, reports BSS.
A total of 1,23,497 students achieved GPA 5 under nine general education boards, while 7516 students obtained the grade under the Madrasa Education Board, and 4885 under the Technical Education Board.
