A probe committee formed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has submitted its report on the deaths of six newborns at Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka’s Moghbazar on Wednesday.
According to a ministry statement issued the same day, the committee submitted its report to Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Shakhawat Hossain.
The statement said a separate committee formed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will submit its report on Thursday.
The health minister is scheduled to brief the media at 4pm on Thursday, it added.
Six newborns died in a single ward of the hospital on Wednesday following a suspected gas leak from an air conditioner.
