A fire broke out on an electrical pole in the Amtali area of Mohakhali in the capital.
Upon receiving the report at 1:30pm on Friday, a unit of the Fire Service promptly arrived at the scene and, with the assistance of local residents, brought the blaze fully under control.
Lima Khanom, duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room, said that the report of the fire was received at 1:30pm. The fire originated on an electrical pole in the Amtali area of Mohakhali.
A Fire Service unit swiftly responded and extinguished the flames with the cooperation of local residents.
Initial assessments suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. No casualties have been reported in connection with the incident.
