Job seekers organized a sit-in protest on Sunday in front of the main gate of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) in Agargaon, Dhaka, after marching towards its office, demanding a clear roadmap for the ongoing BCS exams.

Over a hundred job seekers gathered in front of the PSC's main gate at around 10am.

They displayed posters and banners outlining their demands during the protest.

Earlier, on Saturday, candidates from the 44th, 45th, and 46th BCS written exams announced the protest.

The job seekers' demands are as follows:

  • For the 44th BCS roadmap, a complete schedule for the remaining viva candidates should be released. The viva should be completed by May of this year, and the final result should be published by June.
  • Regarding the increase in cadre and non-cadre posts, the Non-Cadre Regulation of 2023 should be cancelled. The number of posts in both cadre and non-cadre categories in the 44th BCS should be increased to ensure that all candidates passing the viva are given jobs.
  • For the 45th written exam results, the written results of the 45th BCS should be published after the final results of the 44th BCS, and the 45th viva should begin promptly, completing by December 2025.
  • Regarding the 46th written exam, it should be held after the final results of the 44th and 45th BCS exams are published.
  • For the 47th preliminary exam, it should be conducted at least two months after the 46th BCS written exam.
