Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter on Wednesday said that the Bangladesh National Zoo will be modernized for the people.
"Bangladesh National Zoo will be modernized for the benefit of the public. The master plan for the zoo's development will be executed in phases," she said during a meeting on the "Current Status and Future Plans of the Bangladesh National Zoo," held at the Interpretation Center on the zoo premises in the Mirpur area of the city.
The adviser asked the authorities concerned to make necessary arrangements on the construction of walls for zoo security, resolving the shortage of manpower and other related issues.
She also urged zoo officials to record detailed descriptions of each animal at the tourist spot for the convenience of the visitors.
