A fire that broke out in the telephone PABX server of the Popular Pharmaceuticals Head office in the city's Panthapath area here was brought under control Thursday morning.
The fire originated on the 10th floor of the 15-storey building around 8:35am on Thursday, Fire Service Civil Defence Media Wing Officer Khairul Islam Rony told BSS.
Two fire engines from Mohammadpur Fire Station doused the flame around 8:54am, he said.
The cause behind the fire could not be known immediately and the losses caused by the fire were not worth mentioning, he added.
