Akhtar Ahmed has been appointed as the Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat on a contractual basis.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued the appointment on Thursday for a tenure of two years.
According to the order, under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018, Akhtar Ahmed will serve in this position on the condition that he ceases any professional, business, or employment ties with any government, semi-government or private organization/association. The contract will be effective from the date of his joining.
