The Democratic Students' Alliance has demanded immediate justice for the recent murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.
They organized a march from Raju Sculpture to Bahadur Shah Park, calling for justice for the murder, the acceptance of garment workers' demands, and an end to rickshaw puller harassment.
During the gathering, the Alliance's coordinator, Salman Siddiqui, said: "On Tuesday, lawyer Saiful was murdered. Systematic attempts are being made to incite communal tensions and create an environment of sectarian discord across the country. These efforts aim to undermine the unity, democratic spirit, and aspirations of the people. Who benefits from this division?"
He further said: "The state must immediately arrest those involved in the lawyer's murder and ensure they are brought to justice. However, no communal riots should emerge as a result of this incident."
