Police, RAB and army personnel conducted a raid at the residence of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan in the Monipuripara area of Dhaka in the early hours of Wednesday while his son Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti was remanded in custody.
According to a report from a private television channel, the forces carried out their search for nearly three hours, seizing two deer antlers, a zebra skin and a deer hide from Jyoti's room in the process.
Additionally, four suspects were detained, and several items, including Tk3,00,000 in cash and two mobile phones, were confiscated.
Sairul Kabir, additional deputy commissioner for the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Tejgaon zone, said a theft case would be filed against the detained individuals with Tejgaon police station.
Besides, police would seek a second remand in court to interrogate Jyoti, he added.
Police arrested Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti early on Saturday.
