Tanbir Hasan Saikat, general secretary of the Chhatra League’s Dhaka University unit, and Riaz Mahmud, president of its Dhaka metropolitan unit, were detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear which country they were fleeing to.
Earlier in the day, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for posts, telecommunications and Information Technology of the recently ousted Awami League government, was detained at the same airport while he was attempting to flee to New Delhi, India.
