Voting is underway for Dhaka South City Corporation’s (DSCC) ward no 11 by-polls.
The voting began at 8am and will continue till 4pm.
Presiding officers of eight polling stations said voter turnout was comparatively low in the morning, but by 12pm, it increased.
There are seven candidates for the post of councillor in ward 11, or the Shahjahanpur area.
The polling agents of six candidates were seen on duty in the polling centres.
