An official of the Spanish embassy died after falling from the roof of a building opposite Pink City on Gulshan Avenue in the capital Sunday afternoon.
The deceased is Ismail Gil Sereno, 58.
Gulshan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam confirmed the information to Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “A Spanish national died after falling from the roof of a building opposite Pink City on Gulshan Avenue Sunday afternoon. A suicide note was recovered. The man was mentally unstable – it seemed."
The OC said: “The body will be preserved and taken to the hospital for post-mortem. Legal action will be taken thereafter.”
