Railway service between Dhaka and most of the country was halted for an hour on Saturday morning after a crane used for the Dhaka Elevated Expressway project fell on a rail track near the FDC gate in Karwan Bazar.
Dhaka Railway police station Officer-in-Charge Ferdous Ahmed Biswas said that the incident took place at around 6:40am.
Train movement remained halted until 7:30am, he added.
No casualties have been reported from the incident.
