A college student was killed while his friend was injured when a truck hit their motorcycle on Wapda Road under Hatirjheel police station early Sunday.
The deceased is Pulock Gomes, 20, student of Martin Luther College.
His friend Nayan, 21, was receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place around 3:30am.
They were first taken to a local hospital and later to DMCH where doctors declared Pulock dead in the morning, said Hatirjheel police and hospital sources.
According to the police, Pulak's body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College morgue for post-mortem. The truck has not been identified yet.
