Police on Thursday recovered the hanging body of a Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) student from Dhaka's Hazaribagh.
The deceased has been identified as Rakibul Hossain Rafi, 21, a second-year student of Buet's Department of Chemical Engineering.
Hazaribagh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Ahad said Rafi's brother called the national emergency helpline 999 after seeing his hanging body at their residence.
Later, at around 11am, police managed to recover the body.
The OC said they are suspecting it to be a suicide but it can be confirmed after autopsy.
The body has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.
