The fire broke out at 5:40am and firefighters brought it under control by 9:10am.

Traders and their employees frantically tried to save whatever goods they could from their stores after the fire broke out.

The New Supermarket fire came just 11 days after a huge fire burnt the Bangabazar wholesale clothing market to the ground.
