The Bangladesh Army has said that no evidence of explosives was found in the explosion that took place on the third floor of a building named "Shirin Mansion" in Dhaka's Science Lab area.
57 Engineer Company Commanding Officer Major Md Kaiser Bari told journalists after inspecting the scene on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “We have initially conducted tests on the spot with explosive detection equipment. If explosives had been used, we could have detected it in our instrument tests.”
The officer further said: “As we initially found no signs of explosive use, further investigation will reveal the cause of the explosion.”

At least three people were killed and dozens were injured in an explosion that took place at a building in Dhaka's Science Lab area on Sunday morning.
The incident took place at around 10:52am at a building named “Shirin Mansion”.
