A fire that broke out in a shoe warehouse at Alu Bazar in Old Dhaka on Thursday evening has been brought under control.
The fire started at around 5pm on the fifth floor of a building.
Six firefighting units brought the blaze under control around 5:35pm, said Anwarul Islam, Inspector Of Fire Service And Civil Defence headquarters (media cell).
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
