Vehicles will be able to move in an alternative way during BRT road development work in the airport station area of the capital.
The road development work will continue under special management starting from 6pm on Thursday to 6am on Saturday.
At this time, two lanes out of four lanes will remain open. As a result, there will be no disruption to traffic on the road.
The information was revealed in a press release signed by Dhaka Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Managing Director Safiqul Islam on Thursday, reports the Bangla daily Samakal.
Earlier, Dhaka city dwellers were requested to avoid Airport Road for 72 hours from Thursday evening as traffic situation may worsen due to the development work of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
People and vehicles were urged to use alternate routes because of the possibility of tailback.
