A fire that had broken at Bangabazar in Dhaka out early Tuesday and brought under control by the afternoon started to spread again in the evening.
Business owners at the site said at least six markets of Bangabazar had caught fire.
At least eight people, including two members of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, were injured while working to douse the massive blaze.
The fire service received information about the fire at 6:10am and reached the spot at 6:12am, according to Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.
