A video of a waj mehfil regarding women wearing a teep was "accidentally" shared from the official Facebook page of Bangladesh Police on Saturday afternoon.
However, the post was later removed from the page, after it drew mixed reactions from the netizens.
In this regard, AIG of the police's media wing Kamruzzaman told Dhaka Tribune that it was absolutely inadvertent.
“We removed the post from our official page as soon as we became aware of it. Right now, we're looking into the real reason,” he added.
Kamruzzaman also mentioned that their cyber security team monitors various inappropriate posts on a regular basis. “Perhaps one of them unintentionally clicked and shared the post."
Meanwhile, a probe panel looking into the reported harassment of a college teacher by a policeman claims to have found some evidence proving the allegation to be true.
