Jatrabari police have arrested two suspected robbers with sharp weapons from Jatrabari area in Dhaka on Friday.
The arrestees were identified as Md Abu Taher Farhad, 24 and Md Sagar, 18.
Two cleavers were recovered from their possession during the raid.
Tipped off, a team of Jatrabari police have arrested the alleged robbers while they were making a robbery attempt in front of Al Sajeda filling station near Sayedabad Bridge of Jatrabari police station.
Jatrabari police station Inspector (Operations) Ayan Mahmud said they received information that some miscreants had gathered in front of the Al Sajeda filling station adjacent to the Sayedabad Bridge of Jatrabari police station to commit robbery. Acting on the tip-off, they raided the place and arrested them.
A case has been filed against them with Jatrabari police station, said the official.
