MP Saber Hossain provides aid to flood-affected of Dhaka 9

Dhaka-9 lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury has provided aid and relief materials to the flood-affected people of his constituency.

A press release was issued in this regard by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Wednesday.

MP Saber Chowdhury, who is chairman of the standing committee, visited the low-lying areas of Dhaka-9 – Trimohani, Gudaraghat, Daserkandi, Babur Jayga, Balurpar, Gournagar, Idarkandi and Fakirkhali – and distributed assistance to the those who have fallen victim to the ongoing flood situation.

Awami League leaders and activists of Ward No. 75, on behalf of the lawmaker, will help at least 1,000 flood-affected people of this constituency everyday for the next seven days, read the release.

Among others, Nasrin Ahmed, local female councillor, Md Akber Hossain, councillor of Ward No. 75, local freedom fighter Omar Ali and local Awami League leaders Jahirul Islam and Abdul Al Mamun were present during the relief distribution programme.
