Uber, the world’s largest ridesharing app, has announced the launch of the "Driver Compliments" feature in Dhaka.
The Uber app, that connects riders with drivers, made the announcement on Thursday.
This feature aims to make it possible for riders to positively reinforce good behaviour from drivers and develop relationships between riders and driver partners.
Uber India and South Asia Head of Central Operation, Pradeep Parameswaran, said: “We are excited to introduce ‘Compliments’ in Dhaka.”
“We hope our riders take a moment to express their appreciation by using this feature.
"It will encourage our driver partners to do even better,” Pradeep added.
Pradeep said once a rider leaves a compliment, drivers will be notified through the app.
The drivers will receive a compliment badge which will be ranked in stars depending on skilled navigation, music choice, excellent service and few other components.
“The little things make all the difference and 5 stars are not enough,” Pradeep added.
