The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DM) said that Regent Hospital Chairman Mohammad Shahed confessed during in primary interrogation that few machines from the hospital were removed before the RAB raid began.
“DB will conduct an operation again at that place and find out where these machines have been kept,” DB Additional Commissioner Abdul Baten said while replying to queries from at the gate of the Detective Branch Office on Thursday afternoon.
Shahed, who is now on 10-day remand after being arrested from Satkhira border areas on Wednesday, also confessed to embezzling money by providing fake Covid-19 test reports.
“He (Shahed) will be further questioned regarding the issue,” Baten added.
Baten also said if any victim files a complaint regarding Shahed, their complaint will be considered.
