Dhaka South City Mayor Sheikh Farzle Noor Taposh said warned officials against negligence, irregularities and corruption.
In his first meeting with city corporation officials at the Nagar Bhaban on Sunday, the new mayor, who took charge the previous day, warned of strict actions against any kind of irregularities.
According to people who attended the meeting, Taposh was taken aback when officials failed to respond to his queries.
On the occasion of taking charge of DSCC, he expressed surprised once the officials mostly did not make specific answers relying his queries.
Sources said that the new mayor has sought details over the DSCC’s human resources, in line with the organogram, estate, revenue, land and fund departments.
According to a media statement by the DSCC, Taposh also sought all kind of support from the officials.
