Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have detained five, including four members of a teen gang, from Mohammadpur area in Dhaka.
The arrestees are: Md Hasan, 17, Shakil Hossain, 16, Hassan, 15, Md Riaz, 18, and Sumon, 26.
RAB-2 Company Commander Mohiuddin Faruque said, a few teen gangs had been active in clashes, chase and counter-chase for the last few days over establishing their dominance in Lautola and Barkat Mia slums.
“About 30 to 35 teen agers took positions near Lautola slum with choppers, chapatti and sticks on Monday night,” he said.
RAB caught five of them during their raid, while others managed to flee, he added.
A case has been filed with Mohammadpur police station under the Arms Act.
