A man died and another was injured when a bus rammed into his motorcycle in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The incident occurred around 7:15pm Friday. The deceased motorcyclist, Kabir Hossain, 27, was from Boro Holudia village of Matlab upazila in Chandpur.
His passenger rider, Shah Paran, 24, survived with injuries.
Paran's uncle Arif said: "Kabir worked at a private company and shared a flat with Paran in Mirpur.
"On Friday, they were going to Kuril from Gulshan, when an Anabil Paribahan vehicle rammed the motorcycle from behind in Shahjadpur. Kabir was critically injured in the accident."
Kabir was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where he was declared dead by duty doctors around 8:30pm, according to Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost.
His body has been kept in the DMCH morgue for autopsy. Shah Paran is receiving primary treatment.
