A man has filed a general diary (GD) against the councillor of Pallabi area in Dhaka over the negligence of preventing dengue fever.
Yousuf Ahmed filed the GD against Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Councillor Sajjad Hossain with Pallabi police station on Tuesday.
According to the GD, the plaintiff said: "I have been paying regular house holding tax and deserve all the benefits provided by DNCC.

"In the last three years, no mosquito repellents have been used in our area. We have called the councillor quite a few times to take necessary action but received no answer from him."
Moreover, many people in this area are hospitalized due to dengue. I am afraid that I might fall victim of this. That is why I filed a GD, he added.
Confirming the matter, Pallabi police station Officer-in-charge (OC) Nazrul Islam said they have received the GD regarding the issue and are looking into it.
