The Dhaka Metropolitan Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the celebration of Pohela Boishakh – the first day of Bangla New Year.
On April 14, buses plying on Mirpur-Sayedabad-Jatrabari route will turn left from Sonargaon intersection. Buses on the route will reach Sayedabad-Jatrabari using Rainbow Crossing-Moghbazar-Malibagh roads.
Other buses will use Bangla Motor-Moghbazar-Shaheed Capt Monsur Ali Road via Kakrail to reach their destinations.
Buses from Mohammadpur to Sayedabad-Jatrabari-Shyampur via Motijheel will use Mohammadpur-Science Lab-New Market-Baby Ice Cream intersection-Dhakeshwari Temple-Bakshibazar-Chankharpool route via Gulistan to reach their destinations. However, private cars can use Science Lab-Kataban road.
Buses from Tongi-Airport to Gulistan and Sayedabad will use Tongi-Airport-Pragati Sarani-Malibagh Rail Crossing-Khilgaon flyover to reach their destinations. Buses from other routes can use Mohakhali-Moghbazar-Malibagh route to reach their destinations.
Buses from Manikganj, Dhamrai and Gabtoli to Gulistan and Fulbaria will use Manikganj-Dhamrai-Gabtoli-Science Lab-New Market-Baby Ice Cream intersection-Dhakeshwari Temple-Bakshibazar-Chankharpool via Gulistan to reach their destinations.
