Customs Intelligence has seized 28 gold bars from a Chinese national at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The gold bars, weighing 3,250 grams in total, were seized on Sunday morning.
Arrestee Xian Zhu arrived at the airport from Dubai at 11am.
Upon tipoff, a team of Customs Intelligence stopped the passenger while he was crossing green channel.
Later, the gold was found from his luggage.
The total value of the gold is around Tk16,250,000
A case has been filed in this regard.
