The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) has seized 14kg gold from the toilet of a US-Bangla Airlines plane.
CIID Deputy Director Payel Pasha said: “US-Bangla Airlines BS-214 flight from Bangkok landed at Dhaka airport from Bangkok around 4:30pm. We conducted a raid on the plane at 5pm and found 120 gold bars in the toilet sink.
“They weighed a total of 14kg. While we could not arrest anyone, we will take legal actions about the matter.”
